Welcome to Ceramics on 10th! Your local ceramic studio located at 756 10th Avenue on the east side of 10th (right hand if traveling north) between 51st and 52nd street in Manhattan, state of New York, USA.

Ceramics on 10th is a peaceful place where you can learn pottery and forget that you are in the heart of New York City. We fire to cone six electric (oxidation), and have Shimpo, skutt, clay boss, and bailey wheels (mostly Shimpo whispers) for your pleasure.

Our classes are 8 weeks long and cost $535.

Ceramics on 10th runs on 8 week terms, please read the class description carefully before registering to ensure you get into the term you want.

Clay is not included at the studio and must be purchased at an additional cost. Firing fees are $0.03 per cubic inch with a 2” and $1 minimum. Stacking in bisque is allowed but each firing including refirings must be paid for.

Students are encouraged to purchase their own bats or bat system and underglazes if these are things that they want to use. Each student can store their belongings on their assigned shelf; Thats right, every student in this studio gets their own shelf (a rarity in this city!) that they and only they use for the duration of the semester.

All fired works must be picked up in the first two weeks of the following term or they will be discarded.
