This listing is for the Tuesday 6:30-9:30pm class. This class runs for eight consecutive weeks during the Summer term which runs from June 22nd until August 16th.
This course led by Celia is designed for the student who has taken at least two beginner classes. Students will build upon their existing knowledge by reviewing the basics and expanding upon and improving their skills.
The studio provides basic tools and equipment for community use, though students are welcome to bring their own tools and storage systems if preferred. Please note that clay and firing costs are separate from the class fee and must be purchased additionally. Students enjoy unlimited access to open studio time and receive their own designated shelf space for storing works in progress and personal tools throughout the duration of the class.
Week 1: Studio orientation and basic wheel throwing fundamentals
Week 2: Cups
Week 3: Bowls
Week 4: Plates
Week 5: Trimming and handles
Week 6: Final week for creating new pieces.
Week 7: Last week to trim if not continuing
Week 8: Final glazing and shelf clean up
