This listing is for the Wednesday 6:30-9:30pm class. This class runs for eight consecutive weeks during the Spring term which runs from 03/02/26-04/26/26.
This class is good for beginners to get comfortable and introduced to pottery making on the wheel, and great for people interested in doing more than just slapping a glaze onto the surface of your pottery. In this particular class your instructor (Pete) will focus heavily on using slips on the surface of his pots. Each week students will be able to practice their skills on the wheel by learning how to throw cups, bowls and plates, they will be shown how to trim, glaze and fire them.
The studio has limited tools and tiles for community use, feel free to purchase your own bat system and bring your own tools which you can store at the studio. Please note that clay and firing fees are not included in the cost of class and must be purchased separately at an additional cost. Open studio is free and unlimited and each student is issued their own private shelf to store works in progress and tools for the duration of the class.
